“God is love.”
You were made in the image of Love, by Love, then love isn’t something you have to manufacture. It’s what you carry who you are Made to be. It’s what you were made to pass on.
Practically most of us wake up and immediately search for identity like stray animals.
We look in what we produce not
1) Hit the deadline.
2) Be a good mom.
3) Lead the team well.
4) Serve at church.
If that’s where we start, we’ve inverted the order. We’re trying to be the source instead of the vessel.
1 John 4:19-21
We love, because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love God,” and yet they hate his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.

The Covenant
The word "Covenant" means promise and it literally is a bond which requires both commitment, focus, and investments which are reciprocal.
The Covenant is on the edge of self-sacrifice.
Covenant (Hebrew) b'riyt
בְּרִית
They said, "We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So, we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you."
(Genesis 26:28, ESV)
The Hebrew word for a covenant is ברית (b'riyt, Strong's #1285 ), a noun derived from the verb ברה (B.R.H, Strong's #1262), which means "to select the best."
